Election Day: November 3, 2026 — Help Re-Elect Representative Greg Ford, District 98

Priorities for District 98

Where Greg stands — plainly, and without apology.

Taxation

Eliminate the State Income Tax

South Carolina carries the highest tax burden in the Southeast. Greg's plan eliminates the state income tax immediately — not a slow-roll cut spread over years — putting more money in the pockets of District 98 families and fueling the local economy. Excess tax revenue should go back to taxpayers, not pet projects or out-of-state giveaways.

Managed Growth

Managed Development Within District & County

Rapid development in Dorchester County has outpaced infrastructure, driving traffic and flooding. Greg supports legislation requiring:

  • Adequate public facilities (roads, water, sewer, stormwater) in place before permits are issued
  • Development impact fees paid before build permits are issued
  • A five-year Capital Improvement Plan
Agriculture

Protecting Patients, Supporting Farmers

As a former hemp farmer, Greg understands firsthand the challenges facing South Carolina's agricultural community. He supports responsible policies that preserve and grow the state's hemp industry, establish a tightly regulated medical cannabis program so patients can access care through their physician, and enforce strong safeguards to ensure hemp and cannabis products never fall into the hands of children.

Education

Restore Traditional Academics & Parental Oversight

Greg opposes divisive curriculum that displaces religious beliefs and traditional values, and supports parents' primary role in guiding their children's moral and educational development. He supports legislation that:

  • Eliminates ideological and indoctrination courses in schools and workplaces
  • Pushes South Carolina's school system ranking higher nationally
  • Makes the Superintendent of Education accountable to voters via recall
2nd Amendment

Non-Negotiable

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Greg believes South Carolina doesn't have a firearms problem — it has a criminal-accountability problem rooted in a judicial system that fails to hold offenders responsible.

Voting Integrity

Protecting Every Legal Vote

Greg supports legislation that:

  • Eliminates third-party funding in the election process
  • Establishes no-excuse in-person early absentee voting
  • Requires monthly voter roll maintenance
  • Funds a full audit following every election
  • Establishes standardized voter ID at the polls
Individual Rights

Protecting Civil Liberties for Adults

Greg will not support a vaccine mandate or vaccine passport of any kind, and opposes government overreach into individual medical autonomy.

Parental Rights

Parents Come First

As a parent, Greg never agreed to co-parent with the government. He supports legislation affirming that the liberty of parents to direct the upbringing, education, and care of their children — including the choice of public, private, religious, or home school — is a fundamental right the government may not infringe without demonstrating the highest order of interest.

Law & Order

Real Accountability for Crime

Greg supports mandatory penalties for convicted criminals and opposes legislation that erodes accountability for repeat and violent offenders. Victims' constitutional rights depend on a justice system that follows through.

Judicial Appointments

Take the Process Out of the Legislature's Hands

South Carolina is one of only two states where judges are selected entirely within the legislative branch. Greg supports moving the nomination process to the Governor with public-hearing screening by the General Assembly — or to the voters directly — along with eliminating nepotism by barring immediate family of elected officials from judicial appointment for a period during and after that official's service.

Military & Veterans

Veterans Always Come First

As a combat veteran and third-generation military family, Greg keeps the men and women who sacrificed for this country at the top of every legislative priority.
