Survey Response

For those that have received this tasteless survey, I would like to respond to each of the points so you can understand my position on these inaccurate statements:

1. Greg Ford supports proposed legislation that would give the death penalty to a woman who has an a

I support the current Heartbeat bill as written and in place. The exceptions are difficult

to swallow due to my beliefs of life starts at conception, but that is where a good

portion of society stands. As a Rep, I would represent all of District 98 and not just me.

Giving the death penalty to a mother is absurd and there is no such legislation in the

State House and if there is/has been in the past it is not even close to being looked at

outside any sort of committee. More importantly, we as society, need to narrow when

the same Rights each of us value and when we bestow them upon the unborn. I believe

this should be at the time we detect a heartbeat.

2. Greg Ford has pledged loyalty to a fringe Republican group that refuses to join with the other 80

I have not pledge loyalty to any caucus or group other than filing for office as a

Republican, in fact the referenced are Republicans as well. I will only pledge loyalty to

District 98 and not a group of specific Republicans in the State House. In fact, I will NOT

sign a Loyalty Pledge that strips me of my 1st Amendment to join a group that does not.

hold the same values. I encourage everyone to research the conservative rating of the

80% that averages in the 40% before discounting the 20% that hold the highest averaging in the 90% rating. This holds true for every rating system available to the public.

3. Greg Ford opposes raising the pay for law enforcement and first responders.

I fully support Law Enforcement and First Responders and always will. If you look at my

website, www.votegregford.com, there is an entire section on Law and Order and

supporting pay increases. I just had a debate with Chris Murphy last week and we had a

portion on Law Enforcement pay raise and how I asked him why they only received

$2.6M across the state, while the art museum received the same amount. I find it

greatly lacking in the grand scheme of things when Law Enforcement are seeing the

largest vacancies in history, which is partially due to low pay.

4. Greg Ford opposes economic development funds to bring new high-paying jobs to our state.

I fully support offering small businesses opportunities over giving taxpayer dollars in the

tune of $1.6B to a foreign entity such as Scout Motors. Small businesses drive our economy and communities with more jobs collectively that large corporations such as listed above. This has stressed our environment, water supply, and only now being told of Power Grids that Dominion cannot supply the 600megawatt requested on the current system or grid. The state or Dominion will come to the taxpayer or customer for the funds to build that system. Google in Berkley is in the same situation, 600megawatt that Santee Cooper cannot supply due to capacity and grid, 1M gallons of water daily, and environment permits to build on a swamp. All these companies are supposed to bring in a ever changing number of jobs over those next few years, but now Scout is in delay and $200M has already been given for their site work out of our tax dollars, and other EV companies are delaying or closing their state incentivized GA, NC and VA plants due to EV sales decline.

Post & Courier: Editorial: If SC is running out of power, we shouldn't be paying data centers to move here

5. Greg Ford supports allowing criminals who are convicted of a felony to openly carry a firearm in

I support Constitutional Carry as passed. This law prevents convicted felons from

possessing a firearm. There is a few advocating for restoration of gun rights after time

served. I have not taken a stance on this item at this point since the specifics have not

been decided.

My fellow citizens, I hope this clarifies any questions you may have had.  These shameful tactics are to be expected when ordinary citizens step up to challenge the established and well-financed incumbents that are backed by special interests. This ruthless clan have plagued our political environment for far too long. Please, stand with me and we shall rise together. United, we will overcome these formidable obstacles.

Gratefully and respectfully,

Greg Ford
